Bridget Says Yes
Got an email from Bridget Fox, my local Liberal candidate, saying very nicely, yes, she will of course meet me for an interview, and also a comment from Cat, a local Liberal supporter, in this previous post, who seeks to correct the information given me by John in Emily Thornberry's Labour office re: the Libs paying for posters to be erected. No, he says, it's all volunteers. Controversy! Are they paid, are they not? Is Labour spreading vicious rumours?
I think I have my first line of local enquiry.

Just as a quick follow up (and don't want to bore you to tears with all this navel gazing stuff), but that's not the only false accusation Labour have been making.
Latest I heard was that one of the Lib Dem volunteers was approached in the street by a senior member of the local Labour party accusing him of being a paid deliverer.
Said volunteer pointed out that, far from being paid, he in fact pays the local Lib Dems (by way of membership subs and donations) for the privilege of delivering their leaflets!
Not sure why we've had this spate of unfounded accusations from Labour .. could it be that they're a teeny, weeny bit rattled?
If they are looking to take over the mantel of the "nasty party" they ought to take a look at what that did for the Conservatives! Mind you, wouldn't be the first thing they've taken from the Tories ...
Best wishes,
Cat
