Happy Midsummer
We've waited six long months for this time, and here again is the return of the Sun King, climactic at the height of his powers, midsummer solstice, the beginning of the fading of the light. Exalt in the long day, stay up the short night, burn incense, make love emboldened under the stars. Watch the first rays of the midsummer sun arrive over the far horizon, make a wish, make it twice, and wait to see what striking image first occurs in the dawn...

It's weird, but I never look forward to this day - it's downhill from here, winter's on its way, etc etc. Dec 21 is my favourite day of the year - it means summer is on its way!
So, what will you be doing to mark Midsummer?
We're very cold in the Southern hemisphere. Brrrrrr!!!!!!
